The Office for the Aging page on the Nassau. LI NY site lists a variety of 'ride options'. Nassau. LI NY Special Transit, but you can also obtain information below.

Depending on your physical condition, you might eligible for transportation for medical purposes if you are receiving Medicaid.

Free transportation is available to nutritional centers, non-Medicaid health services, social services, recreation centers and shopping. 1.516.883.3201

Wantagh, No. Wantagh, Bellmore & No. Bellmore residents only:
Friends in Service to Humanity or FISH is provided by the Nassau County Department of Senior Citizen Affairs. Volunteers provide door–to-door transportation. 1.516.861.6032

Long Beach, NY senior residents:
You can get door-to-door medical transportation, restricted to surrounding communities. This service is funded by the Nassau County Department of Senior Citizen Affairs. Appointments in advance only.

Oyster Bay, NY senior residents:
The Oyster Bay Senior Community Service Center's Doubleday/Babcock Senior Center, Inc. can arrange door-to-door medical transportation. All appointments should be made at least one week in adavance. 1.516.922.6422
