Think of it...Braille online!! The Canadian National Institute for the Blind, American
Printing, and Duxbury Systems is trying to bring Braille
online. Forsee documents translated in seconds, in Braille
format. In-coming documents get translated into
Braille.Documents going out become a word format that
everyone blessed with vision sees. Folders, files and
software can be manipulated by computer without any text.
Files can be worked similar to a braille recorder. Stop,
start, pause, rewind, fast forward, etc. Voice synthesizers
and speakers for playback or readout. Braille was invented by Louis Braille in the 1830's. This
raised dot language is already used electronically via
eBraille. US citizens are the only people who can use
eBraille at this time. This will majorly impact all lives
positively. If you want to help eBraille go global, e-mail
the Library of Congress advocating/supporting this idea.
